All our manufactured downpipe are made with a taper to allow two or more pipes to fit together. As some of our downpipe sizes are "handmade", there may be some variation within the tolerance of the taper. The correct way to fit downpipe together is as follows:

  1. Identify the "big end" from the "small end" on each downpipe
  2. Prepare to slide the "small end" into the "big end"
  3. Align the seams of both downpipes and place your thumb over the leading edge seam on the "small end" (see pic 1 of sequence above)
  4. Feed the edge opposite the seam into the "big end" (see pic 1)
  5. As you lift the downpipe press your thumb into the seam to slightly distort the pipe and push into "big end" (see pic 2)
  6. Then slide downpipes over each other in a smooth action

Copper & Stainless Steel Downpipe

Stainless Steel is ex-mill 304 2B unless specified otherwise. As this does not have a protective plastic coating, there may be some resulting machining marks.
Other optional finishes are #4 Satin (brushed) finish, BA Bright Anodised (high polish) and #8 Mirror finish.
Note that Satin Stainless is particularly difficult to match and may vary from batch to batch.
