About Us
Our trade origins date back to the 1960’s, starting with plumbing and gas fitting services and later expanded to include Gas Appliance retailing, Mechanical Services and Domestic & Commercial building services. The current entity, AW&F Sheetmetal commenced trading in 1981. During its history, the Company had expanded across three States, with premises in Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne (Burwood and Sunshine).
As part of restructuring from the original partnership to the current business, AW&F Sheetmetal now operates out of two Victorian locations, after relocating from Burwood and Sunshine to larger premises in 2000. Whilst Head Office is located in the Nunawading factory, there are also substantial premises in Seymour. These two locations allows the business to service a large part of Melbourne, encompassing the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas, and Regional Victoria.
The Company has always maintained a hands-on style of management. With the original owner, Graham Dundon continuing to be active in the business, the current management team is led by son Mark, with Peter managing the Seymour branch. The combined experience and extensive knowledge of the industry ensures the stability, future vision and growth of the Company.
AW&F Sheetmetal employs over 55 personnel across these two locations. Many of our staff have more than 10 years of service with the company, providing a depth of knowledge and experience invaluable to the success of the business.
There is a longstanding association with the construction industry through memberships, commencing in 1965 with the Master Plumbing Association; since 1975 with the Housing Industry Association (HIA); and since 2003 with the Plumbing Merchants Association (PMA).
